The challenge
Decades of Islamic scholarship — books and the Al-Hasan magazine since 1955 — sat in an old site that was hard to search and read.
What we built
- Urdu-first, right-to-left library with a Nastaliq typeface and an English switch
- Book library and Al-Hasan magazine archive by category
- Videos, heritage page and an interactive lineage (Shajra) tree
- Site-wide search and an admin CMS for books, issues and videos
Under the hood
- Custom crawlers and importer to bring the archive across
- JWT admin auth with rate limiting and a content security policy
